When and how we collect different types of personal data

IGP handles personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We can collect your personal data in the course of our business relationships, including the use of our website by you.
If you send information to IGP by electronic means (e.g. via an online contact form, by e-mail, by taking part in a training course etc.), you may be asked for certain information including but not limited to contact data e.g. name, title, company, address, phone number, e-mail address or industry.

We can collect data about your electronic device

You can also provide us with data about your electronic device. Data of this type is regarded in many instances as personal data to which applicable privacy laws apply. If you decide to withhold any requested personal data, you may not be able to use certain areas or functions of our website and we may not be able to respond to your enquiry.

Type and purpose of processing:
The data entered by you is stored to communicate with you as an individual.  For this purpose, we need a valid e-mail address and your name. This is to allocate the task of contacting you and is required for the subsequent processing of your request. The provision of further data is optional.
Recipients: The recipients of data are, where applicable, data processors. 
Storage period: The data will be deleted when it is no longer required for the purpose of collection.
If a contractual relationship is established, we are subject to the legal storage periods and will only delete your data when these periods have expired. E-mail address, first and last name, position, company address, phone number    
The processing of data when registering for a training course is carried out on the basis of the data subject’s consent (art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
The processing of other contact approaches is made on the basis of a legitimate interest (art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
If you contact us to request a quote, the data entered in the contact form will be used to carry out pre-contractual measures (art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
Provision required or mandatory: Your personal data is provided on a voluntary basis.  However, we can only process your request if you give us your name, your e-mail address and the reason for your enquiry. Use of Google Analytics
Type and purpose of processing: This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA (“Google”). Embedded Vimeo videos
Type and purpose of processing: We use, amongst others, the provider Vimeo for the integration of videos on our website.  Vimeo is operated by Vimeo, LLC headquartered in 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10077.
The purpose of the application is the embedding and user-friendly presentation of videos and video sequences on our website. For this purpose, we use the provider’s plug-ins.  If you call up web pages on our website that are equipped with such a plug-in, a connection will be established to the Vimeo servers and the plug-in is portrayed.  This sends a message to the Vimeo server indicating which of our web pages you have visited.  
If you are logged into Vimeo as a member at the time, Vimeo allocates this information to your personal user account.  When you use the plug-in by clicking on the start button of a video for example, this information is also allocated to your user account.  You can prevent this allocation by logging out of your Vimeo user account before using our website and deleting the relevant Vimeo cookies.

Applications via the Ostendis application system
Applicants for IGP job vacancies are referred to the online application system “Ostendis” operated by the company Ostendis AG, Seetalstrasse 35, CH-5706 Boniswil AG. In this connection, please see the privacy policy of Ostendis.
By using the external application management system, IGP can guarantee the confidential processing of your application documents.
Storage period: The data is deleted when it is no longer required for the purpose of the job application process.  If a contractual relationship is established, we are subject to the legal storage periods and will only delete your data when these periods have expired.       

 

7.    Automated decision making including profiling

We do not engage in either automated decision making or profiling.

IGP has no intention of collecting any data on the basis of automated processing operations to make decisions.  Neither do we have any intention of processing your data automatically to evaluate certain aspects.

To ensure the security of your data during transfer, IGP uses state-of-the-art encryption methods via HTTPS.
